The Global Trade Market has many tricks, but one of them is when to buy in it.
Mondays at 12:00h (Spanish time) is when the Contest of Mayors ends. It is at that moment when "everybody" rushes to sell everything they accumulated to carry out the contest, or of which they have accumulated surplus.
On Wednesday mornings there is always a new Contest of Mayors (since they are weekly), and it happens that, at this time, people start to hoard products to carry out the contest.
In addition, on Mondays you get the Club Challenge prize, which usually consists of items from Beach, Mountain, Vu, Storage and Expansion. Not everyone gets what they want, and then usually sells it on Global Trade in search of coins.
With experience, we have noticed that Sunday afternoons and Thursdays are not all bad, since many finish the Contest of Mayors early, and sell their surplus before, and many others do not start the contest on the same day of its beginning -Wednesdays-, so on Thursdays there is usually something left in the market.
Fridays and, above all, Saturdays are bad days to find things, making the market quite monotonous.
Exceptional note (September 2022): since in September 2022, the game developers chose to increase the storage maximum, all the cities that didn't want storage items before, now want them. This makes it very difficult to find "SI" (storage items), even using this trick. At least until the cities reach their maximum again, this trick will work for the other items, but not for the storage expansion items.
